We strongly believe that a child is more likely to develop if there is an effective alliance between parents and school. Parental involvement in school activities plays a crucial role in a child’s academic success. When parents actively participate in school activities, they foster a positive learning environment, strengthen the school-home connection, and contribute to the holistic development of students. Parental involvement enhances:
- Academic performance – Students perform better when parents support learning at home and engage with school activities.
- Emotional & Social development – Active Participation builds a sense of belonging and confidence in children
- School Improvement – Parents contribute to better school governance, discipline & infrastructure.
- Citizenship & Responsibility – Engaging with community teaches students about civic responsibility & importance of contributing to society.
Parents are acting as a supporting system in the following way.
- Encouraging Emotional & Social Well-being – Engaging in open conversation with children about academic stress management, peer pressure, comparison with other classmates, Social media engagement & content, and self-esteem enhances emotional resilience.
- Promoting Health & Nutrition – Parents can contribute to healthy meal planning, physical activities, health checkups, and hygiene.
- Participation in Cultural & Sports Events – Parents can support children in sports, drama, dance, and art competitions
- Supporting School Clubs and Student Council – Parents can encourage their children to participate in debate, science fairs and hobby clubs. To boost the leadership quality by encouraging them to be a part of the School Council. Encouraging children to explore interests beyond academics boosts creativity and confidence.
- Engagement in School Excursions – Schools often invite students on educational trips, museum visits, picnics & excursions. Their participation ensures safety and enriches student learning experiences.
Parents are expected to send their ward/s in proper uniform. We request to see the remarks given by the teacher/ Principal, etc., periodically. Parents’ sincere cooperation would ensure the desired & aimed result. Since BKC has introduced Disciplinary Cards, parents can receive notifications from time to time regarding their child’s good and bad behaviour during school hours.
NOTE: Parents’ Teacher Meeting will be on every Last Working Day of the Month, which helps parents to understand their child’s progress, strength & areas of improvement.
