School Excursion to Dharamshala – McLeodganj & Triund

Dates: 13th – 17th May

An adventurous and educational journey awaits! Students will explore the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and spiritual essence of Dharamshala, McLeodganj, and Triund. This excursion blends sightseeing, trekking, and cultural experiences, making it a memorable trip for all.


Itinerary

Day 1

  • Departure from school at 9 PM.
  • Overnight journey to Dharamshala.

Day 2

  • Arrival at Dharamshala at 9 AM.
  • Freshen up and breakfast.
  • Local sightseeing:
    • Ropeway Point
    • Tibet Market
    • Monastery
    • Dalai Lama Temple
    • Bhagsu Waterfall
    • Naddi Sunset Point
    • Church
    • McLeodganj Market
  • Lunch en route.
  • Return to hotel.
  • Evening snacks.
  • Dinner with light music and bonfire.

Day 3

  • Breakfast.
  • Trek to Triund with packed food.
  • Stay in camp.
  • Dinner with light music and bonfire under the stars.

Day 4

  • Breakfast at camp.
  • Return to hotel in Dharamshala.
  • Lunch.
  • Departure for school.
  • En route sightseeing:
    • Cricket Stadium
    • War Memorial
    • Kangra Mata Temple
  • Dinner on the way.

Day 5

  • Exploring Dharamshala Market.

Day 6

  • Arrival at school at 8 AM.

Rules for Participation

  • Eligibility: Open to all students from Class VI onwards registered for the excursion.
  • Consent: Parents must provide written consent for participation.
  • Health & Safety: Students should be physically fit for trekking and must follow safety instructions.
  • Dress Code: Comfortable clothing and sports shoes are mandatory for trekking and sightseeing.
  • Discipline: Respectful behavior towards teachers, peers, and locals is expected at all times.
  • Punctuality: Students must adhere to the schedule and time limits during the trip.
  • Prohibited Items: No harmful substances, gadgets beyond permitted ones, or valuables that may cause inconvenience.
  • Group Travel: Students must stay with their assigned groups and not wander off alone.
